PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Grant County Board of County Commissioners will conduct a public hearing in accordance with and as directed by the FINAL DECISION AND ORDER (Case No.05-1-0010) of the Eastern Washington Growth Management Hearing Board, to reconsider the action of the Board (through the adoption of Resolution No. 05-267-CC) approving a Master Planned Resort submitted in application 2004-1.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, that the Grant County Board of Commissioners will consider review of the SEPA (State Environmental Policy Act) addendum to the Environmental Impact Statement as adopted and prepared in accordance with the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) RCW 43.21.C

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, The public hearing will commence on Monday, July 31, 2006 from 1:30 p.m. in the Grant County Commissioners Hearing room on the second floor of the Grant County Courthouse in Ephrata, Washington, at which time any person or persons may appear and be heard either for or against the approval or denial of the proposed amendment. The amendment under reconsideration is as follows: Project No. 2004-01, Applicants: Larry & Preta Laughlin, located near Winchester, specifically requesting a land use designation change from Agricultural Resource to Master Plan Resort for the development of a water ski lake.

Copies of application 2004-1, the Comprehensive Plan/FEIS and the 2004 Addendum to the EIS are available for review at the Grant County Planning Department, 35 C Street N.W, Ephrata. Additional Background data including the EWGMHB Final Decision and Order, SEPA checklist, Planning Commission recommendations and other pertinent data is also available for public review.
