Jaime Lynn Campbell

Jaime Lynn Campbell was born June 14, 1980 in Olympia to Jeffrey and Miki Krausse.

Jaime was raised in Washington state, attending Ephrata High School and later attended Washington State University where she graduated with a bachelors of arts in apparel, design and merchandising. Jaime joined the Washington National Guard while in college in April of 1999 where she served as an enlisted soldier. Jaime received her commission into the United States Army on Dec. 12, 2002.

Jaime met her loving husband Samuel Frank Campbell through the military in June of 2001. The two were married on Aug. 31, 2002. Shortly after Jaime and Sam were married, Jaime was baptized in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The couple was later sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple on Aug. 6, 2005.

As a little girl and a young woman, Jaime was very active in 4-H, her school and in the community. She was the 1997 Washington State High School Rodeo Queen. In 1996, Jaime was a member of the Miss Ephrata royalty, serving as a princess. Jaime was also a very accomplished horse woman in addition to being a straight-A student and serving as the Student Body President her senior year of high school.

In April 2003, Jaime joined the Alaska National Guard, and in April 2004, she attended the Initial Entry Rotary Wing Course and Officer Basin Course at Fort Rucker, Ala. Jaime Lynn Campbell served as a Platoon Leader in Bravo Company, 1/207th from Feb. 5, 2005 until Jan. 7, 2006. Besides being an accomplished young woman, Jaime was genuine, sweet and selfless. She gave her life for the peace of others and will be missed dearly.

She is survived by her husband Captain Samuel F. Campbell, her father Command Sergeant Major Jeffrey Krausee and mother Miki Krausse.

Funeral services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 1301 Division Ave. E. in Ephrata. Time of the service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

Viewing for family and friends will be from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. that morning. A memorial service will be held at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church at 7 p.m. on Friday.

Arrangements are being handled by Nicole's Funeral Home in Ephrata.
