Luella Kathleen Foster Lyons
Luella Kathleen Foster Lyons, 84, made her journey home Saturday, Jan. 7. She passed away from natural causes at the Highland Manor Nursing Home in Mesquite, Nev.
Kathleen (Kathy) was born May 3, 1921 in Kettle Falls to Myrtle (Bobbie) and Lester Foster. She graduated from high school in Yakima. In 1944 she met and married John (Jack) Teschner . After the war she and Jack lived in Chicago with their four children until 1960 when they divorced and Kathy moved to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. She subsequently married Raymond L. Gage, James Dansereau and Jim Lyons. Jim Dansereau and Kathleen lived several years in Moses Lake, until Jim's death. Kathleen met and married James Lyons from Odessa in 1975.
Jim Lyons and Kathy spent a few years on the ranch in Odessa and when Jim retired they became snowbirds, RVing to Arizona during the winter. They found friends and a home in Kanab Utah, where they spent many happy years. The last few years before Jim's death, they lived in St. George.
Kathleen loved people and her family. She was a talented artist, seamstress, and loved to play the organ and piano.
Her four children survive her: Dr. Robert Teschner of Cheney, Kareen Christen of Malad, Idaho, Wm. (Bill) Teschner of Orem, Utah, and David Teschner of Mesquite, Nev.; also her sister Ava Lublin of Cedar Hills, Utah; brother Stephen Foster of Pahrump, Nev.; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents and brother Dale Foster, and her former spouses.
Funeral services will be held at the LDS Chapel on 800 South Geneva Rd. in Orem, Utah on Saturday, Jan. 15 at 1 p.m. Burial will be in the Timpanogas Memorial Garden Cemetery, 1000 North 400 East, Orem. Arrangements made through Mosdell Mortuary of Kanab, Utah.
