Masako Goto

Masako Goto, 96, of Quincy passed away on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2006 at the Quincy Valley Convalescent Center. She was born on Sept. 20, 1909 in Barneston.

She married Frank Goto on March 3, 1928. Masako moved with her family from Nampa, Idaho to Quincy in the fall of 1953. Frank passed away in January 1984. She lived with her daughter Kiyo for two years before returning to Quincy and lived one year at the Quincy Valley Convalescent Center until her death.

Masako is survived by four sons, Fred Goto and Andy (Beryl) Goto both of Quincy; Sam (Delores) Goto of Mercer Island; Henry Goto of Bellevue; two daughters, Kiyomi (Herb) Noji and Irene Goto (Steve Driscoll) both of Seattle; 10 grandchildren, including Michael, David and Kimberly Goto of Quincy and six great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2006 at 1 p.m. at the Quincy Senior Center, 522 F Street S.E., Quincy. (787-3231)

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at the Seattle Betsuin Buddhist Temple, 1427 S. Main Street, Seattle, WA 98144 (206-329-0800).

Scharbach's Columbia Funeral Chapel in Quincy (787-2223) is assisting with arrangements.
