MOSES LAKE — Glamour and glitz will abound at the Greater Moses Lake 2006 Bridal Show Feb. 18.

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Grant County Advanced Technologies and Education Center, attendees can enjoy more than two dozen booths featuring everything from catered food options, hair design, photography and jewelry.

Moses Lake vendors and others from the Wenatchee area will be on hand.

"If this allows someone not to have to make the trip to Seattle, that's what we want to do is service the people of Moses Lake," said One Stop Bridal owner Mary Hansen who will be one of the vendors.

Hansen said her inventory is unique in that it includes bridal gowns and accessories people won't be able to find any where else.

These gowns have been purchased from other shops that have gone out of business or are styles which are no longer being made, Hansen said.

This year popular styles include strapless gowns, she added.

At 2 p.m. a runway show will display some of Hansen's wedding dresses.

For those wanting to sample food options for their upcoming wedding, Sodexho Services is displaying chocolate, champagne and punch fountains.

The drink fountains are one way Sodexho catering director Rosemarie Dowey says people can save money rather than paying to have a bartender at their wedding.

It's self serve which makes it easier, Dowey said of the fountains.

Mini handle sandwiches, Boursin-stuffed chicken medallions with spinach and artichokes, garlic-mustard grilled beef skewers, Grand Marnier trifles and wedding cake are a few of the items up for taste testing at the bridal show.

The cafe inside ATEC will also be open to serve lunches.

Returning again this year, the diamond dive sponsored by Harrison's Diamonds and Designs kicks off at 3 p.m.

Anyone 18 and older can enter to win a 1/2 carat diamond pendant at the Harrison's Diamonds and Designs booth. The pendant is valued at $995.

At 3 p.m. three names will be drawn. The first person to find the pendant, hidden inside a wedding cake, will take it home.

"We wanted to have something for our participants to take home and preview our jewelry and make it fun for everybody," said Janet Emerson with Harrison's Diamonds and Designs.
