NOTICE OF ELECTION
The election of the Warden Conservation District will be held between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and Noon on Thursday, February 9th, 2006 at The Warden City Hall, 201 S. Ash St., Warden, WA.
All qualified electors occupying land within the Warden Conservation District boundary are eligible to vote. The purpose of the election is to elect one supervisor of the Conservation District for a three-year term, who is a qualified elector and landowner or operator of a farm within the Warden Conservation District boundary.
Supervisor duties include but are not limited to attending monthly board meetings, meeting with local leaders and producers to discuss conservation issues, working with office and Commission staff as well as other agricultural entities to reach conservation goals and managing CD funds. An average time commitment of 3-10 hours per month is expected. A Conservation District supervisor serves without compensation. Any costs incurred while serving as a supervisor will be paid by the Conservation District.
There will be 2 (two) Pesticide Applicator Credits available at this meeting. The topics to be presented will be "Worker Protection Standards" and "Why Till the Soil? Implications of Reduced Tillage for Pest Control and Crop Production".
