Sylvia Jones
Sylvia Jones, 72, Moses Lake resident, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2006, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 27, at Kayser's Chapel of Memories with Bishop Frank Bruneel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Moses Lake 3rd ward officiating. Reception at the Rose Avenue Chapel, following the service. Viewing will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.
Sylvia was born April 8, 1934 in Mississippi to Edward E. and Dovie (Phillips) Burt. She was raised in Pine Bluff, Ark. She lived in numerous states along the way. She lived many years in Brigham City, Utah, before moving to Moses Lake. Before retirement she was a dietary assistant at Lake Ridge Special Care Center and Maple Ridge.
Survivors include eight children, Sylvia Thompson of Moses Lake, Darrell (Pam) Jones of Kearns, Utah, Frank Jones of Kearns Utah, Carol Gamble of Idabel, Okla., Helen Rose of Louisville, Ky., Linda (Randy) Riddle of Bumpass, Va., Claude (Pam) Jones of Haines, Ala., and Dorothy Broesma. Two Brothers, Jack Burt of Fordyce, Ark., and Thomas (Joanne) Hardwick of Nooksack, Wash., 21 grandchildren, eight great-grand children, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three children Dovie Ann Jones, Annette Bennett and Jeanette Whitcomb, three brothers and two sisters Billy Hardwick, Edward Burt, Jim Burt, Lilly Mae Burt and Ellouise Lybrand.
Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel & Crematory, Moses Lake.
