Moses Lake Fire Department donated toys for Christmas
MOSES LAKE — The Moses Lake Fire Department spent Tuesday night shopping at Wal-Mart.
The firefighters shopped for Moses Lake children.
About $1,200 in donations was collected from businesses for the shopping trip, Assistant Fire Chief Pete Kunjara said.
"The guys seemed to have fun, they enjoyed it," he said.
The volunteers collected seven shopping carts of toys donated to the Moses Lake food bank Wednesday, he said.
"There is a list of families who need help so we decided to help," he said.
The department participated in holiday giving for 16 years and donating toys was the focus for the past two years, Kunjara added.
