MOSES LAKE — Moses Lake held Southridge to eight points in the first half of their 40-point victory Saturday.

"Everyone got a decent amount of playing time tonight," said Moses Lake head coach Matt Strophy. "We had some team goals that we set before tonight's game and we didn't meet them. We'll look at film and see what happened."

Brin Bergeson opened the third quarter with a steal for Moses Lake but before the Chiefs could take advantage of the play they suffered a turnover and two quick fouls.

After a 1-for-2 Southridge trip to the line, Marielle McKean connected with Ann Noyes who earned a bucket and drew a foul. Noyes missed the free throw. The ricocheting ball was grabbed by Carly Noyes who earned a putback to extend the lead to 40-9.

After scoring their 11th point of the night, Southridge fouled Ann Noyes, who went 1-for-2 from the foul line.

On the next play, McKean found the basket on a putback and had her shot followed by a jumper by Ann Noyes.

Moses Lake continued to have a shooting field day with McKean earning another basket and then dishing to Ann Noyes on the next trip down court to give the Chiefs a 51-15 lead.

Kelly Sutherland ended the quarter with a bounce pass in the paint to Ashley McKean who laid it up for two.

"This was Ashley McKean's second great game in a row," said Strophy.

Vanessa Brischle scored Moses Lake's first field goal of the fourth quarter, draining a 3-ball from the top of the arc to extend the lead to 41.

After a bout of scrappy defensive play by both teams, Ashley McKean earned a bucket and foul. She completed the 3-point play going 1-for-1 from the line. Then Bergeson shot a long 2 near the baseline to maintain the 41-point margin for the Chiefs.

Ashley McKean picked up another assist, finding Bergeson for a mid-range jumper to make it 63-22 with three minutes left in the game.

Brischle scored the Chiefs' final points of the night from the line, going 2-for-2; she then committed two fouls, the second sending Southridge to the line for their final basket of the night.

Ann Noyes led the team with 13 points. Marielle McKean earned 12 points for Moses Lake. Ashley McKean recorded 10 points for the Chiefs and was awarded the game ball for the night.
