Doris Mae Agnes Nieborsky

On Nov. 28, 2006, Doris Mae Agnes Nieborsky passed away while she was a resident of the Columbia Basin Hospital Nursing Home in Ephrata.

Born Jan. 21, 1921 in Bremerton to Joseph and Agnes Tudor Doris grew up in the Kittitas Valley and Yakima during the Great Depression. In 1940, Doris married Henry Nieborsky. During WWII while Henry was in Europe, Doris worked with her family at the Bremerton Naval Shipyards supporting the war effort. After the war she and Henry raised three sons in the Seattle area.

In 1984, they moved to Ephrata. Doris realized a lifelong dream when she graduated from Big Bend Community College in 2000 at the age of 79.

Doris was preceded in death by her father Joseph, stepfather Wesley Holland, mother Agnes and eldest son Larry. She is survived by her husband Henry, sons and daughters-in-law Oran and Carol of Bothell, and Gary and (Kathy) Jane of Coeur d' Alene. Idaho (formerly of Ephrata), 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. There will be no services.
