Delbert Jones Jr.

Delbert Jones Jr., was born in Shakerville, Ohio, on July 4, 1927 to Delbert and Thelia (Leet) Jones. Delbert served in the South Pacific Theater in World War II in the Navy. Delbert worked for the City of Moses Lake for many years, and specialized in concrete work. He and his wife, Claudine, raised their four children, Robert, Polly, Michael and Gail in Moses Lake.

Delbert retired in 1985 due to an accident on the job. Delbert was well known for his kindness and quick wit. Delbert passed away Nov. 19, 2006. Preceding him in death are his wife Claudine and his two sons, Michael and Robert. He is survived by his daughters, Polly Ann Deal of Summerville, Ore., and Gail Ellestad of Okanogan, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held next Memorial Day at Summerville, Ore..
