Notice is hereby given that Grant County has received a request from WA State Department of Transportation (Designated Contact: Jerald Roseburg, PO Box 98, Wenatchee, WA 98807-0098, tel.: 509-667-3035) to come before the Grant County Hearing Examiner on October 11, 2006 for a 5-year review of a conditional use permit that was originally approved on March 14, 2001. PROJECT: The Conditional Use Permit to reactivate a gravel pit for mining, crushing and stockpiling of road building materials, and producing asphalt concrete pavement on an 80-acre parcel. SEPA exempt. ADDITIONAL PERMITS: None. STUDIES REQUIRED: None. LOCATION: Section 35, Township 19, East 27; 5501 S. Frontage Rd., Grant County, WA. Parcel #16-1603-300. ZONING: Rural Remote. OPEN RECORD PUBLIC HEARING: Hearing Examiner Hearing, 12 pm, October 11, 2006 in the Commissioners Hearing Room, at the Grant County Courthouse in Ephrata, WA. At this time any person(s) may appear and provide testimony. Box 37, Ephrata WA 98823, (509) 754-2011, ext. 624; office hours are 8am - 12pm and 1pm - 5pm, Monday - Friday. Comments must be submitted no later than 5pm on September 18, 2006 to the Planning Department. All comments should be as specific as possible and may be mailed, hand delivered or sent by facsimile. Any person has the right to comment, receive notice, participate in any hearings, request a copy of the final decision, and appeal the decision as provided by law and County Code. This may be the only opportunity to comment on the above listed materials.
