John E. Stahl

John E. Stahl, age 78, passed away at the family home on Friday, Aug. 25, 2006.

The son of John and Sara (Wurz) Stahl, John was born Dec. 2, 1927 at Rockyford, Alberta, Canada. He began farming with his family at an early age and married Elizabeth Stahl on Jan. 25, 1948 in Canada. He and Elizabeth moved to Washington in 1979, where they have resided and farmed until his death.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, George Stahl, and a granddaughter Lorilee. Surviving is his wife of 58 years Elizabeth; his children, Paul (Susanna), Sara (Mike), John (Betty), Andy (Rachel), Elizabeth (Joseph), Eli (Barbara), Walter (Martha), Edward (Joanne), Albert (Barbara), Sammy (Donna); numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Andrew (Elizabeth), sister-in-law Katie Stahl, Esther (Elias) Waldner, Jacob (Susie), Kathrina (Walter) Wollman, David (Emma), Samuel (Rebecca), Judith (Eli) Wollman.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, Aug. 27 at 12:30 p.m., at the Stahl Hutterian Brethren Church, in Ritzville. Interment followed at the Stahl Cemetery. Danekas Funeral Home, Ritzville was in charge of arrangements.
