NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
Sealed bids, plainly marked "BID FOR Airport St. SE, Project No. 06-001, will be received by Port of Ephrata at the Office of the Port Commissioners located at 1990 Division Ave. E., Ephrata, WA 98823, until 4:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 5, 2006 and will then and there be opened and publicly read for the construction of the improvements.
All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. No conditional bid bond will be accepted. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish a satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the Port of Ephrata.
Maps, plans, and specifications may be purchased from the Grant County Port District No. 9, located at 1990 Division Ave. E., Ephrata, WA 98823, upon payment of the amount of $25.00 (non-refundable).
Informational copies of the maps, plans, and specifications are on file for inspection at the Grant County Port District No. 9, 1990 Division Ave. E, Ephrata, WA 98823 and the Grant County Public Works Building, 124 Enterprise St. S.E., Ephrata, WA 98823, and in various plan centers located in Washington.
The Board of Port Commissioners of the Grant County Port District No. 9, Washington, reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The award of this contract, if made, will be to the lowest responsible bidder.
The improvement for which bids will be received follows:
Airport St. SE (SR 282 to Grumman) - Project No. 06-001
This contract provides for the construction of 2.00 miles of two lane port road and a new approach to SR 282 located in Grant County, WA, and includes roadway excavation, embankment compaction, drainage, crushed surfacing base course and top course, permanent signing, luminaires and other work in accordance with the plans and specifications.
