Charles Robert "Bob" Bloyd
Charles Robert "Bob" Bloyd, 83, longtime Moses Lake resident, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2006 at his home. Military services with burial at sea will take place at a later date.
Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel & Crematory, Moses Lake.
Bob was born April 16, 1923 in Portland, Ore., to the late Donald and Miracle (Swick) Bloyd. He was raised and educated in Kelso. At the age of 17, he joined the United States Navy and served his country during World War II. Bob was honorably discharged in 1946.
He married Lynne McRae on May 16, 1970 in Renton, and they made their home in California before moving to Moses Lake in 1986.
Following his retirement, Bob drove school bus for the Moses Lake School District for several years.
He loved the outdoors and enjoyed golfing and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Lynne Bloyd; a son, Steve Bloyd; three daughters and sons-in-law, Carren and Charles Bennett, Teresa and Mark Snegosky and Debra and Don Kim; a brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Alma Bloyd; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
