MOSES LAKE — The Moses Lake Roundup Rodeo is moving up in the world and drawing in some of pro rodeo's brightest stars.

Friday night was highlighted by Trevor Brazile, who rides atop the Jack Daniel's world standings in the All-Around cowboy race. Brazile and partner, Rich Skelton, took home the money in the team roping event with a time of 4.8 seconds.

Cody Ohl, the leader in the tie-down roping event on the national stage, tied with Cody James for seventh place with a time of 8.2 seconds.

Roundup featured more than 400 cowboys and cowgirls riding, roping and racing to earn a paycheck and offered rodeo go-ers three nights of solid rodeo action.

Thursday night the rough stock of Corey and Horst Rodeo Company provided a great show during the bull riding competition, with a 100 percent buck-off rate for the stock.

Some of the stock stars that made an appearance in the bull riding were Night Sweats and Hemi along with 7 of Hearts and Poison Oak. The stock provided by Corey and Horst came from their "bred to buck" program; a program that was designed to produce animals with the desire to buck.

"Entries are up 10 percent from year's past," said Moses Lake Rodeo Association member Tim Prickett.

Rob Weber, another Moses Lake Rodeo Association member, said the rodeo was blessed to have stock from Corey and Horst.

Thursday's "Tough Enough to Wear Pink" event raised more than $5,000 in ticket sales alone for the Moses Lake Cancer Foundation and brought out a crowd clothed in pink to support breast cancer survivors. Many cowboys riding in Thursday's event participated as well, wearing pink shirts, pink ribbon pins or bandanas to show their support.
