EPHRATA MAINTENANCE FACILITY

WORKBAY EXTENSION

Scope: This project consists of construction of additional maintenance space for an existing maintenance building located at 426 "A" Street SE, Ephrata, Washington. Included is selective demolition of portions of the existing building, new asphalt paving, reinforced concrete footings, foundations and slabs, concrete masonry unit walls, steel roof joists and steel roof decking, exterior insulation and finish system (EIFS) applied to CMU, preformed metal roofing, steel doors, frames, and finish hardware, glazing, new sectional overhead doors and removals and reinstallation of existing overhead doors, and painting. Mechanical and electrial work includes a ventilation system, vehicle exhaust system and piping for a compressed air system for new existing workbays, general electrical work and light fixtures.

Estimated total construction cost is $ 375,000 to $400,000.

Bids: Bids documents must be received prior to 2:00 pm., Thursday, September 14, 2006. Bid opening will be held at 2:05PM. Thursday September 14, 2006.

Submit bid in accordance with project bidding and contract document requirements.

LOCATION: Mail by courier or US Postal Service or hand deliver to Wardell Architects, 509 West Chestnut Avenue, Yakima, WA 98902, no later than the specified closing time.

PRE-BID: A Pre-Bid Site Visit is scheduled for Tuesday August 29, at 11:00 a.m. Meet at the project site. Prime bidders and sub-contractors are encouraged to attend.

A bidder whose proposal is under consideration shall upon request, promptly furnish satisfactory evidence of his/her financial resources, his/her experience, and the organization and equipment he/she has available for the performance of the contract. The bidder must be registered in the State of Washington (in accordance with Chapter 18.27 RCW) and shall furnish state registration number.

Bid documents are available only at the Office of the Architect; bid document sets are not available from any other source. A non-refundable fee of $50.00 per set will be charged. Checks should be made payable to the WA State Military Department. Bidders wishing documents mailed to them may do so by paying a $20.00 non-refundable mailing fee per set, payable to Wardell Architects. Bidding Documents will be available Tuesday August 22nd.

The State of Washington Military Department reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to make further calls for bids in the same manner as the original call, and to waive any informalities.
