Dale William Sielaff
Dale William Sielaff — July 26, 1929 to Aug. 8. Dale passed away Tuesday morning in his home of natural causes. He was preceded in death by his mother, Engel Maria and father August Sielaff; wife Elaine and son Gregory; two brothers: Lester and Harold Sielaff; and one sister, Lillian Meske. He is survived by one sister, Amanda Niederkliene of Spokane; one brother, Walter Sielaff of Kettle Falls; son John Sielaff and his daughter-in-law Jackie Sielaff of Hermiston, Ore.; four grandchildren, Amber, Josi, Jacque and Cala; and seven great-grandchildren.
Dale was born and raised in Ritzville where he married his high-school sweetheart, Elaine Kessler in Nov. 1950. In Oct. 1951, his wife and son, Gregory, passed away during childbirth. He later married Nona Norwick. His son John was born in Ritzville. He then moved to the Moses Lake area in the early 1960's and was involved in agriculture and manufacturing. He designed and built various ag-related equipment, boatlifts and manufacturing equipment. He also did creative design metal work. He entertained many with his deep baritone vocals, his sense of humor and auctioneer skills. In his earlier days he provided square dance calling for many local dances. He spent the last few years with his good friends at "The Club" sharing laughs, ideas and life lessons learned. He had a big heart, a great laugh and will be missed by all.
