Anna L. Kron
Anna L. Kron, 91, passed away on April 26 in Moses Lake.
Anna was born on April 1, 1915 at her parent's home near Richland. She was the seventh of eight children. She spent her young life in Richland and graduated from Richland High School. She cared for the family household and worked in various jobs in the fruit industry.
Anna traveled to Portola, Calif. in 1937 to marry Carl Kron, who became her husband of 68 years. They resided for a short period of time at the Walker Mines in California. They returned to the Richland area and farmed there for three years. Carl then took a job farming near Lind in 1941. Anna and Carl were asked to lease a portion of the very large farm on which they worked, which they did for the next 27 years. They moved into Lind, where they continued to operate an agricultural spray business until 1979. Following retirement, Anna and Carl moved to Moses Lake in 1983.
While Anna had many talents and enjoyed many things, her greatest love was her family and her home. She was a devoted and loving wife and a great mother. She enjoyed traveling, singing — especially with her young children dancing and swimming. She enjoyed sewing and crafts, at which she excelled.
Anna was a caring and giving person who helped many of the people around her. She had many friends and enjoyed having them around.
Anna is survived by her husband, Carl Kron of Moses Lake; son Curtis and his wife Karen Kron of Boise, Idaho, and daughter Verla Ann and her husband Gary Steffler of Moses Lake; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at the Lind cemetery at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 29.
Memorials in Anna's name may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Attn: Communications Department, 6931 Arlington Road, Bethesda, MD 20814.
