Michael David Heath

Michael David Heath, 54, passed away peacefully at his home Monday, April 10. He was born in Hudson, N.H. to Donald and Laurine Heath. They moved to Moses Lake in 1952. He graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1970, where he participated in the wresting program. Michael married the love of his life Vickie Sircin in 1972 and they have made their home in Moses Lake for the past 34 years.

Mike was a Journeyman Carpenter and was a member of Carpenters Local #1849 for 30 years. He enjoyed his work and was proud to help create many interesting local structures, including, Moses Lake Aquatic Center, the Blue Bridge over the Columbia River in the Tri-Cities and the Summer Falls Hydro Plant. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping, playing pool, watching old westerns on TV, cooking and going to garage sales. Mike never missed an opportunity to enjoy good times with friends and family. Opening day of fishing season, Memorial Day weekend, Fourth of July and opening day of pheasant hunting were always festive occasions shared with many friends. Those who knew Mike will fondly remember his quick wit and unique one liners.

He is survived by wife Vickie Heath, daughter Hailey Heath and son Andrew Heath, all of Moses Lake; father and mother Donald and Laurine Heath of Citrus Heights, Calif.; sister Marsha Straus and brother-in-law Steven Straus, nieces Stephanie and Jennifer Straus all of Portland, Ore.; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws; and his faithful dogs, Blu, Morty and Moxie.

Michael is preceded in death by his grandparents William and Bertha Heath, and Arthur and Anne Rodier.

A memorial services will be held to celebrate Michael's life Saturday, April 15, 2006 at Kayser's Chapel of Memories at 11a.m.

His family takes comfort in the knowledge that Mike is at peace and free of pain.
