Colleen Moon
Colleen Moon, 69, died March 31, 2006 in Moses Lake, Washington. Born March 7, 1937 to David and Virginia Collins in Pocatello, Idaho, Colleen attended Catholic school and graduated with honors. In 1969, Colleen and her husband Russell Robinson, along with three small children relocated from Idaho to Spokane, and were blessed with another child. They resided in Spokane until 1970 at which time the family moved to Moses Lake. After years of being a homemaker, she went back to school and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She helped many people at Samaritan Hospital. Because nursing took a toll on her, physically, she ventured into the real estate world selling property, doing mortgage loans and closing escrows. Colleen resided in Port Townsend from 1985 until 1991. Life was difficult for Colleen with the loss of two children, a divorce and health problems, but she never gave up. Colleen found a new life with Richard Moon while living in Milwaukie, Ore. They were married in 1996 and he was by her side until the end. She was an intelligent, vibrant woman, loyal to her family and friends, who will be extremely missed by all that knew her. Preceding her in death were her daughter Elaine Anderson (27), son Richard Robinson (27), brother David Collins and two grandchildren. Colleen is survived by her husband, Richard Moon, brother Ben Collins of Buhl, Idaho, son and daughter-in-law Steve and Lindy Robinson of Portland, Ore., daughter-in-law Connie Norton of Milwaukie, Ore. and daughter Christi Brown of Port Townsend, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A very special thank you to "Sharon" from Colleen's family for being there through all her difficult times to the end. A memorial service will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at 2 p.m.
Arrangements are in care of Benson Family Funeral Service, Chapel, Crematory and Cemetery, Moses Lake.
