| September 14, 2005 9:00 PM

Both suspects 16 years old

QUINCY — While Quincy Police Department officers were processing a burglary scene on Monday about 11:30 p.m., they were alerted to a burglary in progress where officers eventually arrested two juvenile suspects.

The QPD initially responded to a burglary complaint at L & R Cafe, at 1114 Central Ave. S, where officers found damage, but no evidence of theft.

While officers were processing the scene at L & R Cafe, there was a second complaint of burglary. As the QPD responded to the burglary at Chinook Lumber, at 815 2nd Ave. SW, they observed two subjects inside. Apparently, the suspects smashed out a rear window of the business and attempted escape, according to a QPD press release.

A foot pursuit resulted in the arrest of two 16-year-old male juveniles. The two suspects were booked on charges of second-degree burglary and second-degree malicious mischief. The suspects were also booked for apparently possessing stolen property, the QPD stated.

The incident is still under investigation and no other information was made available.
