Richard William "Rick" Maurer

Richard William "Rick" Maurer, 51, longtime resident of Moses Lake, passed away Saturday in Wenatchee due to complications from pneumonia. Rick was born Jan. 1, 1954 in Moses Lake, the son of Gilbert "Fuzz" and Jean Maurer.

Rick loved to be outdoors with his family and friends. Camping and fishing were his passions.

Rick worked in construction all his adult life.

Rick is survived by his parents, Fuzz and Jean of Moses Lake; his brother, Mike and sister-in-law, Tina of Moses Lake; daughter, Lisa and granddaughter, Gwenyth of Walla Walla; daughter, Wendy, granddaughter, Hailey and grandson, Mason, all of Moses Lake; son Rick Jr. and wife Michelle, grandson Calob and granddaughter, Joselyn, all of Walla Walla; son James of Walla Walla; stepdaughter, Stephanie and grandson, Ryan of Walla Walla; stepson, Aaron and granddaughter, Alexis of Walla Walla; nephew, Michael and wife, Tiffany, great-nephew, Tyler and great-niece, Alexis, all of Moses Lake; niece Amy and husband, Mando, great-nephew, Brandon, and great-nieces, Makinzie and Allyson, all of Moses Lake.

Rick also has several aunts, uncles, cousins and loving friends who will miss him.

A private remembrance will be held at his parents' home this Saturday.
