and Public Hearing

Petersen Short Plat: Lloyd Petersen submitted an application for a short subdivision and a shoreline substantial development permit on Apr. 29, 2004. The application was processed but then determined to be incomplete on Sept. 16, 2004. Revised application materials were received on Sept. 30 and Oct. 13, 2005. The application was determined complete for further processing on Oct. 19, 2005. The proposal is to short plat 0.22 acres of land and build a 3 to 6 unit apartment building, along with a dock and rail-type boat launch system, in the R-3, Multi-family Zone. The site is located at 1700 Marina Drive on Tax #11,429 in S28-T19N-R28E. The project has been determined to be consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan, and the following development regulations are applicable to the project: Moses Lake Municipal Code (MLMC) Title 14: Environmental Regulations, Title 16: Buildings and Construction, Title 17: Subdivisions, Title 18: Zoning, and Title 20: Development Review Process, and the City of Moses Lake Shoreline Management Master Plan. A Mitigated Determination of Non-Significance was issued for this project on June 28, 2004.

The Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on Nov. 10, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers located at 401 Balsam Street. All interested persons are encouraged to attend and provide comment.

Written comments on this proposal will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on the date of the public hearing. Persons who want to be informed of future actions, or the final decision, on this proposal should provide their name and address to the project planner. The final decision on this proposal will be made within 120 days of the date of the notice of completeness and may be appealed according to the City appeal provisions specified in MLMC 20.11, Appeals.
