Hilma Pauline Chaffee
Hilma Pauline Chaffee, born July 15, 1922 in Royalton, Minn. died at her home on Nov. 20, 2005 in Moses Lake, Washington; she was 83.
She was a wife and mother and raised most of her children in southeastern Alaska. She moved with her husband to Washington in the mid-'70s where she lived until her passing.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Vernon L. Chaffee. She is survived by nine brothers and sisters: Dorothea Goff, Ralph Rasmussen, George Rasmussen, Eva Schweikert, Kelsey Rasmussen, Floyd Rasmussen, Betty Palmer, Ethel Poage, Dean Rasmussen, most of whom reside on the west coast (California, Oregon area). She is also survived by 10 children: Patricia Green, Lorenzo Chaffee, Richard Chaffee, Loren Horn, Loetta Jacobsen, Rebecca Cowles, Warren Peter Chaffee, Douglas Chaffee, Jeanna Neatrour and Marnie Boyer.
She had 23 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.
She lived a long and fruitful life and was well loved, she will be missed by family and friends alike
Services will be held on Nov. 30 at 6 p.m. at Emanuel Baptist Church, 516 E. Nelson Rd. Moses Lake. Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel and Crematory, Moses Lake.
