William (Bill) Tapio

William (Bill) Tapio, 59, passed away Nov. 16 at the University of Washington in Seattle. A longtime resident of Moses Lake, Bill was born on April 30, 1946 in Belcourt, N.D.

Bill is preceded in death by his father, Andrew Ironbear, his mother Mary, Aunt Dolores Bakes, uncles Danny and Pauly Bake, sister Jessie Sparks and wife Penny Gonzales.

He is survived by his aunts Dorothy Workman of Moses Lake and Beatrice Baker of North Dakota; uncles Marvin and Virginia Baker of Seattle, Glen Baker of Seattle and Bob Baker of Seattle; step-father Pete Yonger of Moses Lake; brothers Robert Giffen of Moses Lake and Leeroy Giffen of Tri-Cities; children Alicia and Mikeal Cannon of Las Vegas, Jessie and Bill Fredericksen of Moses Lake, Charlotte Tapio of Moses Lake, Willy Tapio Jr. of Omak, Dwanne and Ancly Torres of Tri-Cities, Leah Tapio and Raul Santana of Moses Lake; grandchildren Tyler, Brett, Derek, Brindy, Vanessa, Andrew, Dakota, Riya, Ezekiel and Janasi; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and numerous friends.

Bill was an unforgettable person who could not, nor shall not be forgotten. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him. We love you PaPa with our whole hearts. His memorial service will be held on Dec. 2 at 11 a.m. at the LDS Church, located at 925 North Grape Drive in Moses Lake.
