and Public Hearing

Central Operations Facility: The City of Moses Lake submitted an application for a shoreline substantial development permit on Oct. 27, 2005. Additional information was submitted Nov. 10, 15, and 16, 2005. The application was determined to be complete and ready for review on Nov. 16, 2005. The proposal is to create administrative office space by adding 1,613 square feet to the existing Central Operations Facility (COF) building and remodeling 3,000 square feet of the existing COF building, and to add a 4,237 square foot garage, 1,000 square foot carport, and 13,635 square feet of new pavement to the COF site. The site is located in the Public Zone at 1303 Lakeside Drive, Lot 1, Municipal Tract #8 and Lots 32 to 37, Terminal Park Addition #2. The project has been determined to be consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan, and the following development regulations are applicable to the project: Moses Lake Municipal Code (MLMC) Title 14: Environmental Regulations, Title 16: Buildings and Construction, Title 18: Zoning, and Title 20: Development Review Process.

The Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on Jan. 12, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers located at 401 Balsam Street. All interested persons are encouraged to attend and provide comment.

Written comments on this proposal will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on the date of the public hearing. Persons who want to be informed of future actions, or the final decision, on this proposal should provide their name and address to the project planner. The final decision on this proposal will be made within 120 days of the date of the notice of completeness and may be appealed according to the City appeal provisions specified in MLMC 20.11, Appeals.
