Christa Ashley

| May 25, 2005 9:00 PM

The Lord came and took our Christa home on Sunday.

Christa Ashley, 33, was born in Ritzville on August 14, 1971. She lived in Moses Lake for most of her childhood and, as an adult, chose to make her life in Lind and raise her family there.

Christa was a devoted mother of three children: Nick (17), Amanda (15) and Kacee (13). Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her girls and going to watch her son play sports. She was his biggest fan.

Before her illness Christa worked at the Lind School District as an educational assistant in the special education department. The children adored her. Everyone that was lucky enough to have known her loved her. Christa was a wonderful person with a loving heart and a beautiful soul. She will be greatly missed by all.

Christa was preceded in death by her papa, Dave Shirtcliff, and is survived by her mother Joan Sauer of Lind and her father Tim Rutty of Moses Lake, her grandmothers Joan Shirtcliff of Lind and Nadine Lalonde of Spokane, her sister Melissa Chesmore of Moses Lake and her very special niece Jordyn and nephews Brandon and Ethan, several loving aunts, uncles, cousins and very dear friends.

Memorial services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at the Lind Assembly of God Church.

A private family gathering will be held, following the service, at the home of Bruce and Joan Sauer.

A trust fund has been set up for Christa's children at the Bank of Whitman in Lind.
