Doris Meade

Doris Meade, 83, died of pneumonia on May 3, at Lourdes Medical Center. She was born June 4, 1921, in McVille, N.D.

Doris moved to Moses Lake in 1966, after the death of her husband, Loren Meade. She worked at "The Towne Shoppe" then later at "Pinky's Shop of Fashion" with her good friends Pinky, Barbra and Myrtle.

Doris had three daughters and three sons. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Malcolm and her husband, Michael; her daughter, Tula Ostrander and her husband, Daniel Ostrander; her daughter, Stacy Meade; her son, Jay Meade and daughter-in-law, Wendy Thomas; her son, Jon Meade and his wife, Barbara. Doris had 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Amanda Bredeson and her father, Oscar Bredeson; her bother, Darro Bredeson; her brother, Bill Bredeson; and her brother, Stewert Bredeson. She had one son, John Jay Meade, who died in infancy.

Mother will always be remembered as kind and generous and as a great listener who was always there when you needed her. She was open-minded to the changing times and could be a friend to anyone of all ages and life styles. She was a wonderful mother and a life-time friend. She will be greatly missed. We love you Mom.
