WARDEN — Even on their home course, the Warden golf team has struggled to get their shots to land.

Kevin McPartland took the lead for the Cougars with a round of 90 at Sage Hills Golf Course on Monday as Goldendale topped Warden 355-395. Ryan Lloyd took home honors after finishing with an 82 on the course for Goldendale.

"The whole team has been up and down this year," said Warden head coach Steve Tolley.

The Cougars were without Guy Jensen, who went home sick before the match.

Robbie Horn shot a 99 for the Cougars, Eric Whitney finished with a 102, Chance Buck shot a 104 and Kevin Whitaker and Ben Bisnett each shot a 118 on the day.

Warden's Sophie Mayate shot a 126 for the Lady Cougars. Goldendale's Valerie Lombard led the girls with a round of 119.
