Alfred L. Bashaw

Alfred L. Bashaw, 74, was born March 30, 1931 in Lebanon, New Hampshire to Levi P. and Lillian (Allard) Bashaw. He passed away April 29, 2005 at home with loved ones after an extended illness.

He was raised and educated in Lebanon, New Hampshire. After he graduated from high school, he served in the Air Force for 12 years. After leaving the service, he settled in the Moses Lake - Ephrata area, he worked several different jobs, retiring in 1993 as a truck driver with the Nestle Company located in Moses Lake, WA.

Alfred is survived by his wife Thelma Bashaw of the home; one sister Nancy and her husband, Robert. of Windsor, Vermont; one brother Paul Bashaw of San Jose, California; six daughters, Janet and Rick Wood of Moses Lake, Dorothy and Don Mendenhall of Soap Lake, Cathy and John Henry of Quincy, Patty and Calvin Walker of Ephrata, Betty Bashaw of Wenatchee, Billie and Aaron Callahan of Seal Rock, Ore; one son Joseph and Linda Bashaw of Moses Lake; five step-daughters Dora and John Keaton, Judi and Walt Behl, Debbie and Hugh Prewitt of Auburn, Lois and Jeff Tannahill of Lewiston, Idaho, Diane Soden of Puyallup; three step-sons Louis Kiser of Cheney, William and Bonnie Kiser, George and Xena Kiser of Republic; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents Levi and Lillian, wife Barbara in 1989, two step-daughters, Thelma Wheeler, Joyce Crain, one step-son Daniel Kiser and a great-granddaughter Sydney Erdman.

Alfred was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 21 at the VFW Hall located in Lakeview, Wash.
