DETERMINATION OF NONSIGNIFICANCE (DNS)

PUBLIC NOTICE

The Washington State Department of Ecology Air Quality Program has issued a Determination of Non-significance (DNS) under the State Environmental Policy Act Rules (Chapter 197-11 WAC) for the following project and location: Surface excavation, temporary operation of a portable rock crusher, stockpiling of mineral aggregate, and associated activities that will take place during the approximate period from April 15 until August 15, 2005. Temporary operations will be located within NW1/4 Section 13, Township 19 North, Range 28 EWM, at the intersection of Road 4 NE and the East Broadway Extension within the City of Moses Lake in Grant County.

The project proposal was submitted by Desert Rock Excavation, Inc., 10764 Grace Lane NE, Moses Lake, WA 98837. After review of the completed Environmental Checklist and other information on file with the agency, Ecology has made a preliminary determination the proposal will not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment. Copies of the Environmental Checklist and the Determination of Non-significance are available at no charge from the Washington State Department of Ecology Air Quality Program, N. 4601 Monroe, Spokane, WA 99205-1295. The public and other interested parties are invited to comment to Ecology on this project proposal by submitting written comments within fourteen (14) days of this notice to Gregory S. Flibbert at the above address.
