INVITATION TO BID

SEALED BIDS will be received by the Port of Moses Lake, 7810 Andrews St. N.E., Suite 200, Moses Lake, Washington, 98837, until 2:00 pm April 11, 2005, for the defined/specified roof repair at various locations on Building 5280 located at the Grant County International Airport. Bids received after this time will not be considered. Bids will then be publicly opened and read.

Each bid must be submitted on the prescribed "Bid Form" provided in the specification documents and accompanied by Bid security as prescribed in the Instruction to Bidders, payable to the Owner in an amount no less than five percent (5%) of the amount of Bid.

The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish the additional Bond(s) prescribed in the Bidding Documents.

Interested Contractors must contact the POML at 509-762-5363 (business office) and indicate that they will be attending the Mandatory Pre-Bid meeting scheduled for 1:00 pm Wednesday March 30, 2005. Interested contractors shall meet at the POML Conference Room located at 7810 Andrews Street N.E., Suite 200, Moses Lake, WA.

SCOPE OF WORK

Scope of work shall include the specified roof repairs, removal and replacement, flashing, patching, localized repair, sheet metal work, drain repair, and miscellaneous other work as defined within the Built-up Roof Replacement and Repair specifications.

The scope of work shall include all labor and materials to complete the specified work. A detailed review of the work shall be conducted during the Mandatory Pre-Bid meeting. Successful contractor shall be required to work closely with the POML to coordinate all work at the secured location, and shall coordinate all applicable sub-contractors that may be necessary to successfully complete the defined/specified work of this project.

CONTRACT DOCUMENTS

Bidding Documents, including Instructions to Bidders, Form of Agreement, General Requirements, Drawings and Specifications, entitled Roof Repairs and Replacements, may be examined at the office of the Roof Consultant and office of the owner. The physical office of the Roof Consultant is as follows: A-TECH NORTHWEST, INC., 17020 SW Upper Boones Ferry Road, Suite 102, Durham, Oregon 97224 (mailing address: 22180 S.W. Mt. Home Road, Sherwood, OR 97140). A full set of bid documents shall be distributed to pre-registered contractors during the Mandatory Pre-Bid meeting.

The Port of Moses Lake reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive irregularities or informalities, without cause.
