Frederick Albert "Bud" Wohlcke

Frederick Albert "Bud" Wohlcke, 85, longtime Warden resident, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake. Private graveside services will be held at a later date at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Warden. Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel & Crematory, Moses Lake.

Bud was born July 29, 1919 in Garfield, Ark. to the late Edward and Evie (Gann) Wohlcke. He married Lillian Murray on July 31, 1936 in Caldwell, Idaho and made their home in Parma, Idaho until moving to Warden, Wash. in 1949.

He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 370 for 58 years.

Bud worked on many Columbia Basin projects and the Grand Coulee Powerhouse. He retired in 1983.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian of nearly 69 years; his daughter, Sara Sue Wohlcke of Warden; a son, Ed Wohlcke of Palmdale, Calif.; a brother, Charles Wohlcke of Pendleton, Ore.; two grandchildren, Kris and his wife Gail Wohlcke of Lancaster, Calif. and Anne Wohlcke and her husband Dave Sheridan of Lexington, Ky.; 2 great-grandchildren Nicole Wohlcke of Lancaster, Calif. and Maia Sheridan of Lexington, Ky.; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
