Real estate classes relocate to ATEC

Realtors find continuing education closer to home

MOSES LAKE — Location, location, location.

That's the most important thing in real estate, they say, and the Moses Lake-Othello Association of Realtors is proving it.

"Our biggest concern, being in real estate, is we have to take continuing education so we're up to speed on laws and new rules and just refresh us on it," said Rich Engelmann, president of the Association.

The classes are available on computer, Engelmann said, but that takes away from the chance to interact with other agents and get their experience.

"We like to take schooling with other agents around — everybody gets a better educational output on the whole thing," Engelmann said. "But we were always having to go to Spokane, Wenatchee, Seattle —somewhere else for our continuing education."
