Three badly injured in crash on I-90

Car rolls over on eastbound lanes Speeding probably a factor
COLUMBIA BASIN — At least one person is in serious condition in a Wenatchee hospital after a one-car accident on Interstate 90 left him and two other people injured early Monday morning.
According to witnesses' accounts, a car driven by an unidentified male and carrying a male and a female passenger was traveling eastbound on the highway near milepost 157 at a high rate of speed.
The car went over the median and the driver apparently overcorrected to get back on the road, rolling over repeatedly and coming to rest in the center lanes.
The identities and ages of the three occupants have not been confirmed or released. The driver was taken to a Wenatchee hospital and the other two were airlifted there, said Greg Moore from the Washington State Patrol K-9 unit.
Moore said that before the accident occurred, the WSP had been receiving reports of the vehicle speeding on the highway.
The driver was said to have suffered serious head trauma. No word was available on the status of the passengers.
Traffic slowed down to a crawl on the eastbound and westbound lanes near exit 157 as Grant County Sheriff deputies, WSP troopers and other agencies surveyed the scene. Eastbound vehicles were rerouted to either the north or south Frontage Road, as evidence was gathered on the highway's median and eastbound lanes.
At press time, it was still being investigated whether alcohol had been a factor in the accident.
