Robert Earl Parrish

Robert Earl Parrish, 55, loving husband, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Feb. 26, at his home in Othello.

Bob was born on November 1, 1949 to William Earl and Donna Mae Parrish in Seattle. Bob and family started in Everett and then moved to three different places while his father served in the military. They lived in Norfolk, Va. from Aug. '55-Dec. '56 then Millington, Tenn. from Dec. '56-Sept. '57, then to San Diego from Sept. '57-April, '60, finally returning home to Everett where he attended Hawthorne Elementary, North Junior High and Everett High School, graduating in 1968.

Bob joined the U.S. Air Force in the fall of 1968. He was stationed in North Dakota for a year then Guam for 18 months and in 1971 in Othello. There he met and married his wife Jean Mollotte in 1971. In 1972, he received an honorable discharge from the Air Force. He went to work for the farm implement business as a parts counter man. In 1976, Bob's and Jean's first son, Bert W. was born, followed in 1977 by identical twin sons; Wade R. and Scott R.

Bob and Jean owned and worked side by side at their business, Saddle Mountain Farm Supply Inc., for over 25 years. For the last 12 years, their son Burt worked with his dad while Scott and Wade worked in the business during the summers. It was truly a family business. Bob really enjoyed his friends at work, but the joy Bob and Jean had raising their sons was the greatest. He was very proud of his family, including his five grandchildren.

Bob was an active member of the Othello Church of the Nazarene where he and his family have worshiped the Lord together for 20 years.

He is survived by his wife Jean of the family home; four sons and three wonderful daughters-in-law, Bert and Stefanie Parrish, Wade and Cody Parrish, Scott and Marysol Parrish and Jaime Cantu all of Othello; five grandchildren, Shaya, Elaina, William and Makhaela Parrish and Alexis Cantu also of Othello; Bob's parents, William Earl, Jr. and Jeanine Parrish of Sylacauga, Ala., a sister Sandra Kramer and husband Dan of Moses Lake; his uncle Carl and wife Maxine Parrish of Sylacauga, Ala.; two cousins, Linda and Debbie also of Sylacuaga; and many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his birth mother, Donna Parrish, his grandparents, Early and Mamie Parrish, Martin and Clara Ellingson and Clara Caffey.

A celebration of Bob's life will be held at the Othello Church of the Nazarene, at 825 Ash in Othello on Thursday March 3 at 10 a.m., cremation services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Chapel of Othello.
