Russel M. Samuels

| June 21, 2005 9:00 PM

Russel Mark Samuels entered the gates of heaven June 18 at a time when none of us were ready to let him go. Russel was born April 27, 1961, in Idaho Falls, Idaho and graduated from Skyline High School in 1979. He attended Northwest Nazarene College in Nampa, Idaho for one year and then graduated from Phoenix School of Welding in Phoenix, Ariz. He enjoyed his welding profession. He loved the outdoors — fishing, hunting and gardening — and all sports.

Russel was married to Cynthia Olsen in Moses Lake. Their twin children, Kira and Kody, were the joy of his life. He was a member of the Moses Lake Alliance Church and loved his church family.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia, and his children, Kira and Kody, of the family home; a daughter, Shelsea in California; his parents Terrel and Ruth Samuels of Arlington, Texas; his sister and her husband, Gena and Ernest Shikles of Humble, Texas; his brother and his wife, Dale and Julie Samuels of Girard, Kan.; his father-in-law Clinton Olsen of Moses Lake; his brother-in-law and his wife, Jerry and Heather Olsen of Bellevue; four nieces; one nephew; and many adoring aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A celebration of Russel's life will be held at the Moses Lake Alliance Church on Wednesday at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Samuels family at CMA — Bank of America, or the charity of your choice.
