She married Harlan "Sam" Bernard Sampson on August 3, 1940, in Spearfish, SD where they made their home. In 1948 they moved to Wallace, Idaho. In 1952, Harlan and June relocated to Othello. In 1956, they purchased a farm by O'Sullivan Dam which they lived at for 30 years, while farming and operating Sampson's Sand & Gravel. Their gravel pits became well-known as "Sampson's Beach" to fishermen and campers around the state of Washington.
June gave birth to one daughter, Virginia "Ginger" Sampson-Haring on August 31, 1948. In 1985, Harlan and June sold their farm and moved to Potato Hill Road in Moses Lake. Later that year, Harlan passed away. In 1989, June's sister Dorothy came to live with her in her home at Peninsula Estates in Moses Lake. They lived together for 13 years until Dorothy passed away in 2002. June remained living in her Peninsula Estates home.
June worked as a waitress prior to her marriage to Harlan. Following her marriage, she was a devoted housewife, mother, grandmother and assisted on the farm when needed. Harlan and June enjoyed hosting parties at their country home, where many family and friends attended. They were active members of the O'Sullivan Grange since 1956. June enjoyed traveling and playing bingo. She was an excellent cook, and was well known for her apple pies, homemade noodles, roast beef with mashed potatoes and gravy, MMMM!!! Her huge smile and feistiness will be missed greatly. "We Love You So Much Grandma, see you soon."
