Edna Anna Lybbert

Edna Anna Lybbert, 85, Moses Lake resident for 58 years, passed away Tuesday at SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Grape Drive LDS Chapel with Bishop John Wright presiding. Interment will follow at Pioneer Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel and Crematory.

Edna was born Aug. 30, 1919 in Chester, Mont., daughter of the late William and Elsie Earl. Edna was raised on a wheat ranch where she met and fell in love with Norman. She was married to Norman H. Lybbert on Oct. 14, 1938 in Fort Benton. Their marriage was later solemnized at the Cardston, Alberta LDS Temple. They lived in various areas of Montana and Western Washington prior to settling in Moses Lake in 1946. She, along with Norman, farmed for a couple of years. She worked at Shad's Fountain from 1954 to 1962, then worked part-time at Western Auto for several years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, most recently of the Moses Lake second ward.

Edna was a very loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend. The family would like to thank all the caring people at SunBridge Care Center. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Charles R. and Vickie Lybbert of Moses Lake; two daughters and sons-in-law, Pearl and Stuart McCaskill of Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada at Norma and Rank Rains, Wenatchee; two sisters, Martha Carpender of Granite Falls and Evelyn Furlong of Chester, Mont.; one sister-in-law, Annie Earl of Great Falls, Mont.; 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Besides her husband in 1993 and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Norman K. Lybbert in 1961 and two brothers, William and Delbert Earl.
