Notice is hereby given that a Conditional Use Permit was received on May 28, 2005 and a SEPA Checklist received on May 16, 2005 from Puget Sound Energy (Designated Contact: Scott Williams, 6905 S. 228th Street, Kent, WA 98032 (253-670-2319); and were found to be technically complete and preliminarily appear to be consistent with the Unified Development Code and other applicable State and Local requirements as of May 2, 2005.

PROJECT: Construction of ~1.5 mile of 230 kV Transmission line located in the Rural Remote zone of Grant County. The new line will traverse the Columbia River south of the Wanapum Dam and cross State Route 243 then turn north for approximately 0.5 mile to cross under the Grant County PUD lines and then turn east and enter the north end of the Wanapum Substation. SEPA: SEPA MDNS and Adoption of Existing Environmental Documentation issued June 6, 2005. LOCATION: Grant County Tax Parcel # 15-0258-000, 15-0260-000, 15-0254-000 & 15-0253-000 Parcels are located within a portion of Sections 16 & 21, Township 16 N, Range 23 E. WM. Grant County, WA ZONING: Rural Remote. Required mitigation will be pursuant to the Unified Development Code. OPEN RECORD PUBLIC HEARING: Hearing Examiner hearing, 12 pm, July 13, 2005 in the Commissioners Hearing Room, at the Grant County Courthouse in Ephrata, WA. At this time any person(s) may appear and provide testimony. Copies of the application materials (File #05-4052) are available from Dorothy Black at the Grant County Planning Department at 32 C St. NW, Room 26a, P.O. Box 37, Ephrata WA 98823, (509) 754-2011 extension 625; office hours are 8am - 12pm and 1pm - 5pm, Monday - Friday. Comments must be submitted no later than 5pm June 22, 2005 to the Planning Department. All comments should be as specific as possible and may be mailed, hand delivered or sent by facsimile. Any person has the right to comment, receive notice, participate in any hearings, request a copy of the final decision, and appeal the decision as provided by law and County Code. This may be the only opportunity to comment on the CUP and SEPA.
