| June 2, 2005 9:00 PM

Meeting designed as place for discussion with citizens

MOSES LAKE — The Moses Lake City Council will be moving out of the council chambers for their next meeting, and heading into downtown.

The council will be downtown Saturday, holding a special meeting at Sinkiuse Square from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This will be the first meeting of the council at the square next to the Moses Lake Post Office on Third Avenue, and Mayor Ron Covey has encouraged anyone in the area to come out and discuss issues and answer questions of the council.

Called "Councilmen in the Square," the meeting is designed to give the opportunity to meet and discuss with members in the downtown area.

The square has been a center for discussion of downtown revitalization issues, but Covey said this special meeting will be an opportunity for citizens to discuss "anything and everything" with the council.
