Lanore Sinclair Bowen

Lanore Sinclair Bowen, just three weeks before her 92nd birthday, passed away peacefully from natural causes in Itasca, Ill., July 4, 2005. She was born Aug. 14, 1913, in Victor to Ellen Pitts and Jessie Sinclair. She was the 10th of 12 daughters.

She married Russell Eugene Bowen June 15, 1932. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They had seven children. They lived in eastern Idaho until they moved to Moses Lake in 1952.

After her husband's death, Lanore moved back to the Nampa/Caldwell area, then later to Elmhurst, Ill., in 2004.

Lanore was always active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and her husband served a full-time mission at Toronto, Canada, among the Moquakie Indians. Later she served a full-time mission at the Washington, D.C. LDS Temple.

Lanore was preceded in death by her husband, Russell; a son, Kyle; her parents; 11 sisters; two grandsons; and four great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Joy Dearden of Nampa, Lois (William) Bowman of Benton City, Patrick Gale (Ann) Bowen, Ethel (Joe) Hayes of Elmhurst Ill., Shannon (Jay) Russell of Caldwell, Idaho and Kelly Bowen of Las Vegas, Nev.; 25 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. July 29 the Moses Lake Cemetery. A family prayer will be held a 9 a.m. at the funeral home. Patrick Bowen will conduct under the direction of Pedersons Funeral Home.

Stella L. Harris

Stella L. Harris, 99, longtime Moses Lake resident, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, July 29, 2005 at Kayser's Chapel of Memories, Moses Lake. Interment will follow at Pioneer Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel of Memories.
