Patricia Joan Drouhard, 75, Moses Lake resident, formerly of the Basin City area, passed away at her son's home in Othello on Monday with all her children at her side. A memorial service will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 200 N. Dale, Moses Lake. Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel and Crematory, Moses Lake.

Patricia "Pat" Drouhard was born March 4, 1930 in Fredonia, Kan., the daughter of the late James and Meredith Price. She attended school at Kansas State University. In 1952 she married Norb Drouhard and in 1960 they homesteaded in the Basin City area where she was a founding member of the Block 20 Roaring Ladies Club and St. Paul's Catholic Parish in Eltopia. Pat was a homemaker for 35 years and then returned to school and obtained her Associate of Arts from Tacoma Community College. She started her second career as a social worker in Tacoma at Martin Luther King Center and later in Moses Lake at the Community Action Council. She enjoyed working with people. After retiring she continued to help others by volunteering with the St. Vincent DePaul Society of Our Lady of Fatima parish.

Mom raised five great kids and then tried to raise the rest of the world.

Pat is survived by her children and their spouses; son J. L. and Kathy; son David and Toni; son Brian and Noran; daughter Elisa and Ron; and son Andy and Jeannie, all of Washington state and nine grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

The family suggests that gifts of remembrance, if desired, can be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society of Our Lady of Fatima parish or to one's favorite charity.
