Notice is hereby given that the Grant County Planning Department has received and found the following shoreline permit application to be technically complete as of June 28, 2005 and ready for processing, public review and comment. A Shoreline Substantial Development permit from the Town of Coulee City, for the construction and placement of an eight (8) foot wide, and eight hundred (800) foot long dike and outfall pipe for a stormwater detention pond to correct the problem of the lagoons being over capacity and restore the natural hydrology to Coulee Lake by the use of a sump pump collection system to collect groundwater that is presently pumped from under existing Coulee City buildings into the sewage collection system, and divert that groundwater into the abandoned sewage lagoons and ultimately into Coulee Lake. SEPA review was conducted by the Town of Coulee City and the DNS has been issued by them on June 9, 2005

Copies of the application materials (File #05-4019) in the above proposed shoreline action are available from the Grant County Planning Department, 32 C St. NW, Room 318, PO Box 37, Ephrata WA 98823, (509) 754-2011 extension 396. Comments must be submitted no later than 5 p.m. July 28, 2005 to the identified project planner at the above address. All comments should be as specific as possible and may be mailed, personally delivered or sent by facsimile. Any person has the right to comment, receive notice, participate in any hearings, request a copy of the final decision, and appeal the decision as provided by law.
