Moses Lake qualifies 10 for districts

Moses Lake wrestling coach Nathan Stanley was hoping for seven wrestlers to qualify for districts at the subdistrict tournament on Saturday, instead he got 10.

"I think the kids wrestled well at subdistricts and they are excited to wrestle well at the district tournament," Stanley said.

Roberto Cruz (103), Matthew Palmer (112), Gabe Guzman (119), Jordan Hill (125), Lee Richards (152), Nick Lane (160), Ty Sainsbury (171), Tyler Frederickson (189), Andrew Nielsen (215) and Tad Harmon (275) all qualified for the Big Nine district tournament at Eastmont this weekend.

"I think based on the seeding of the kids and the kids who qualified, we are right there with Pasco and Eastmont," Stanley said about vying for a district title.
