Dennis Martin "Smokey" Casteel

Dennis Martin "Smokey" Casteel, 57, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 12 at Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee.

Martin was born to Dennis Martin Casteel to Daniel and Christine (Poiner) Casteel in Olympia, on July 1, 1947. He is survived by his wife Sharon Casteel; two sons, Samuel Casteel and Christopher Howard; four grandchildren; daughter Kimberly Evans; step-daughter Michelle Davidson; two brothers Barry Casteel and Ricky Casteel; and one sister, Sherry Casteel.

Dennis worked most of his life as a logger in Western Washington and Oregon. In 1992, he was injured in the woods and moved to the Columbia Basin where he worked as a maintenance supervisor at the Lake View Golf and Country Club until 1998 when he became ill.

He loved the outdoors, old cars and Harley Davidson Motorcycles.

A family viewing was held on Jan. 13 at Kayser's Chapel of Memories.
