Louise Dutton, 94

Louise Dutton, 94, of Moses Lake, formerly of Kellogg, Idaho, died on January 10 at LakeRidge Nursing Center in Moses Lake. She was born on July 28, 1910 at Neosha, Miss., to John and Martha (Kraft) Gassen. Louise's mother died when she was born. The family moved from Missouri to a homestead on Lake Coeur d'Alene near Worley, Idaho. She was brought up by her aunt, Bertha Gasser.

Louise also spent some years in Washington where she graduated from Monroe High School in 1929. She attended college in Bellingham. Louise married Paul Dutton on December 14, 1940 in Coeur d'Alene Idaho. They lived in the North Idaho mining district, first at Burke, then Wallace, and Osburn. Paul passed away in 1972. Louise moved to Kellogg, Idaho in 1988 and then to Moses Lake in 1996.

Louise heard the gospel in her youth and has been a faithful follower of Jesus, as well as a dedicated wife. mother and homemaker.

Survivors include one son Randy Dutton of Spokane Valley, two daughters, Carol Dutton of Yakima, and Sharon Dutton of Moses Lake.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 13, at Nicoles Funeral Home Chapel in Ephrata. With Fred Skaitzky officiating, burial will follow at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 14 at the Osburn Day Cemetery in Osburn, Idaho.

There will be a visitation held 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 12 at the Nicoles Funeral Home Chapel in Ephrata.
