Harold "Shorty" Butler
Nov. 9,1925 — Feb. 16, 2005
Shorty was born in Paden, Miss. and served in the Navy in the Philippines during World War II. He moved to Washington, where he met his wife of 51 years, Sarah Sue Pate Butler. Harold helped with the building of two local canals and the Grand Coulee Dam in the 1940s and also worked for Carnation/Nestle in Othello as a mechanic for 22 years and retired in 1994. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved to cat nap in his "easy" chair. He also loved to work in his yard, take his dog Gizmo for rides in the car, and tinker around in his shop. Harold was proceeded in death by his son Brent "BJ" Butler and survived by wife Sarah "Sue," his only daughter Sherry, his sons: Ernie and wife Terry, Randy and wife Lori, Steve and wife Anita, Troy and wife Kim, Jason and wife Charity, Adam and wife Kathy. Grandchildren: Rodger (Becky), Elizabeth (Dustin), Randy JR, Tricia, Michael, Scott (Angie), Shane, Clarice (Lupe), Brenna, Abby, Sean, Brooklyn, Paten, Blake, Austin, Shelena, Allissa, and AJ. Great-grandchildren: Savanah, Damon, Emily, Jacob, Alexis, Ashley, Madison, Nayda and Elijah. Thanks for all the memories … we'll love and miss you always!!!
