Leonda T. "Lee" Davis passed over Jan. 9 at University of Washington Hospital, Seattle. Lee was born March 10, 1928 in Charlis Heights/Hamilton, Mont. to Harold and Margaret (Tipton) Davis. He was the sixth of seven children. In 1932, the family sold their strawberry farm and moved to Ellensburg where they started another strawberry farm. In 1943, the family moved to Sumner, where they continued to farm.

Bettie Irene Cook went to be with her Savior on Feb. 15, 2005. Bettie was born on Feb. 23, 1930 in Lincoln, Neb. She lived an exciting life traveling with her mother Alverta Brenneman McLain and stepfather, Benjamin Franklin (Mac) McLain, who was in the Merchant Marines. Bettie was proud of the complete set of Noritake china that her stepfather brought back from Occupied Japan. She felt pride that she had never broken any of the set, and continued using the dishes throughout her life and marriage.

Percy Ralph Driggs, a longtime resident of Moses Lake, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Feb. 6, 2005 at approximately 1:30 a.m. at the age of 91. He was born May 31, 1913 near Coronation, Alberta, Canada. He came to the United States at the age of 2, along with two brothers and his parents, the late Samuel and Lottie Driggs. He attended schools in Idaho, and graduated from the Shoshone High School in 1931. He attended one year at the University of Idaho, aided by a 4-H Club Union Pacific Railroad scholarship.

Interment will follow in Pioneer Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel and Crematory, Moses Lake. Viewing will take place at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Shirley June Temple, 79, a longtime resident of Soap Lake, Wash., went to be with the Lord, Monday Feb. 7, 2005, at her home.
She was born on Jan. 23, 1926 in Seattle, Wash., and made her final home of many years in Soap Lake. Shirley is survived by her sister, Jerry Rutherford; her sons Leonard Galley, Lewis Galley and Don Temple, Jr.; her daughter Anna Hoselton; her grandsons Kenneth Larry Camden, Donald Eric Temple and Jim Hoselton; her granddaughters Angela Kay Malecha and Terri Hoselton and her great grandchildren.
